Friday has proven to be a busy day at Loftus Road on the news and rumours front and Vital QPR provides a roundup of all the major stories regarding the Rs.

Dan`s The Man

Fans favourite Dan Shittu has put pen to paper on a new one year deal that will see him remain at the club until the summer of 2012. The man mountain has made almost 200 appearances for Rangers in three spells at the club, spanning over 10 years, and having enjoyed two promotions with QPR has already expressed his delight at extending his stay at Loftus Road.

He told qpr.co.uk ‘I am pleased to have my future sorted out and am delighted that I will be spending the next year with QPR in the Premier League`.

‘I had other options but I love this club and to have been involved in our promotion from the Championship last season is something I will never forget`.

Shittu`s Premier League experience may prove invaluable next season and he will be hoping to play a big part in the Rs 2011/2012 campaign.

Have QPR Found Their Cheque Book?!

It is widely being reported that QPR have made a substantial offer for Swansea defender Ashley Williams. A figure of around £2 million has been apparently been tabled as Warnock looks to add to his squad for the new season.

QPR`s interest in the Welsh international appeared to have died down a few weeks ago, but many Rs fans will be pleased to see the owners backing Warnock with funds to add the quality to the squad much needed to mount a significant attempt at avoiding relegation.

Whether Swansea accept the offer is another matter, as Williams is held in high regard at the Liberty Stadium. Many Swansea fans scoffed at the idea of selling the 26 year old at all, let alone for £2 million, and the Rs may need to test the resolve of The Swans if they are to get their man.

Bullard Deal in Jeopardy

QPR have reportedly already met with Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard and want to take the 32 year old to Loftus Road on a season long loan; however, may miss out on the ‘joker` as his hefty £45 000 -a week wages appear to be a significant stumbling block.

Despite Bullard expressing his interest at moving and playing Premier League football again, the Tigers do not want to pay a proportion of the midfielder`s wages. QPR may have to renegotiate any possible deal if they want to sign Bullard and the outcome of this transfer saga may once again provide us with an indication of the ambitions of the clubs owners.

Who Doesn`t Love an Extra Goalkeeper?

One deal that looks almost complete is that of former Ipswich Town goalkeeper Brian Murphy. The 28 year old is a free agent after his contract expired in May and Warnock is keen to add another goalkeeper to his squad to add some depth to his squad.

Murphy was signed by Ipswich in 2010 and having made 25 appearances for The Tractor Boys, the Rs gaffer will be hoping the shot-stopper will add some competition to goalkeepers Paddy Kenny and Radek Cerny.

In Other News?

Motherwell manager Stuart McCall has denied reports QPR and Bolton have made bids for Scottish striker Jamie Murphy.

Nottingham Forest may swoop in and snatch Wayne Routledge from under QPR`s nose as they look to strengthen after last season`s playoff disappointment.

Ex-Ranger Gavin Mahon has been training with former club Watford.

Taarabt is leaving. Or is he staying? Who knows.
