Steven Reid will be out of the R’s next two fixtures with a hamstring complaint.

The Blackburn Rovers loanee has been sidelined for the Middlesbrough and Watford fixtures owing to hamstring troubles, another in a catalogue of injuries for the midfielder.

The Republic of Ireland international has picked up a back injury and a cruciate ligament injury while playing for Rovers, something that has kept him out of the game for the best part of two years.

While this injury doesn’t appear to be threatening long-term, Reid will need to be rested ahead of the televised clash with West Bromwich Albion.

Reid has featured twice for QPR in a defeat against Doncaster Rovers, and coming from the bench against Coventry City this weekend.
