Jamie Mackie goes straight into the first eleven for his full Scotland debut later today.

The R’s front-man beat both Kenny Miller and Wolves’ £6.5m summer signing Steven Fletcher to the line-up in a surprise selection by Craig Levein.

The Scots face the Czech Republic this evening and the QPR front-man gets his reward for his eight goal haul already this campaign.

A tireless worker – Mackie has certainly earned his place in what have been an incredible few months for the ex-Plymouth Argyle man.

It remains to be seen whether his infectious enthusiasm and eye for goal will see the Scots prosper in Prague, but as R’s fans already know, he won’t be found wanting for effort.

He becomes the third QPR player to be capped by Scotland, with Don Masson and John Spencer both making appearances.
