QUEENS Park Rangers have re-appointed Ian Holloway as the club’s manager.

The 53-year-old played for and managed the club previously – racking up five year spells in both categories.

He has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with QPR over a decade since he was placed on gardening leave by then chairman, Gianni Paladini.

He lead QPR to promotion from what was Division 2 in 2003 – to great acclaim considering the farcical circumstances he had encountered during his early tenure.

Holloway completed an unthinkable task in getting Blackpool promoted to the Premier League, following that up with Crystal Palace later on.

No question that this will be a popular appointment – but whether it is the right one will be played out over the course of the next couple of years.
