Queens Park Rangers didn’t have the busiest of January windows but one deal that did get complete saw Josh Scowen leave for Sunderland.
The midfielder had been at the club for two-and-a-half years after joining from Barnsley and he made over 100 appearances for the R’s in that time. Despite 18 of those came in the current campaign, Scowen was never a regular under Mark Warburton and had a battle to get in the XI each game.

Therefore, the boss was happy to sanction his sale in the New Year, even though he doesn’t have the biggest squad to work with at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. With that in mind, the QPR fans were asked on Twitter whether they thought it was the right decision to let Scowen go.
Will QPR finish in the top six this season?
Yes
No
And, it brought plenty of responses, with the majority agreeing that it was the correct call from the club as he couldn’t adapt to Warburton’s style of play, even if they wished him well. Here we look at some of the comments…
Yes, he was treated terribly by some so called fans on social media and he deserves more than a bit part role which is all he was getting under Warburton – but hey, what a last goal

He was a liability, poor player

Yes I think his time was up and wouldnโt fit Warburtons play style

I liked him but I donโt think he really fitted into Warburtons style of play. Honest professional who deserves first team football
