Friendly – Hall Gets 45 As QPR Notch Up A Win – Stevenage Defender Given Another Look

|

Queens Park Rangers took a 3-2 victory over Swindon Town in yesterday’s behind closed doors friendly.

The main talking point from the match was that centre-half Grant Hall came through his 45 minutes unscathed as he continues his comeback from injury and builds his fitness following his spell on the sidelines.

The 26-year-old had received the all-clear from his specialist to step up his training following February’s knee surgery and it was his first match action in almost seven months so a massive step for him on a personal level as he gets back to normal.

Manager Steve McClaren used the game to get extra minutes into those who didn’t feature prominently in the Union Berlin game and we did take the lead through Paul Smyth before the visitors levelled matters up. Idrissa Sylla and David Wheeler scored either side of the break to give us the 3-1 advantage, but the visitors hit back once more and that was where the scoring ended.

Wheeler continued his own return to full fitness as well following his issues last term.

QPR:
