David Foster from Tyne & Wear will take charge of this weekend’s fixture between Queens Park Rangers and Coventry City.
The official that spent the majority of his career as a panel referee, predominantly taking charge of non-league fixtures.
In 2006 he broke into the Football League, seven years after starting life on the circuit – and has only been charged with a handful of Championship clashes to date.
It will be the first time he has taken charge of QPR, but Mr Foster has presided over a Coventry fixture previously, in a 1-1 away draw at Burnley.
In 16 games this season he has dished out 40 yellow cards and two reds – giving him a card average of 2.63 cards per game.
This weekend he will be assisted by Chris Knowles (Northamptonshire) and Steve Phipps (Oxfordshire) with the fourth official Rob Atkin (Lincolnshire).
