ANTON Ferdinand has joined Turkish outfit Bursaspor on loan until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old defender – who featured in the 4-2 defeat at the hands of Milton Keynes Dons at the weekend – has courted the interest of the Turkish club over the last couple of weeks, and today QPR confirmed the deal.

The side includes former England international Scott Carson and American midfielder Maurice Edu, as Anton calls time on a torrid season with Queens Park Rangers.

Harry was previously keen to stress that inclusions would have to happen in order to let players go, and this is either a reaction to the latest in a string of poor Anton displays – or someone of the ilk of Rolando is about to step through the door.

Either way it is a deal that is beneficial for both parties, with the defender featuring 49 times for Rangers in a period spanning aover a year and a half.

  • And not a moment too soon – for a scary heartbeat, I thought Redknapp might think Ferdinand was the answer to Nelsen leaving :-0
