The first test of Rangers’ Italian tour ends in success as they maintain their 100% pre-season record.

Italy’s answer to the Glenn Hoddle academy on a grander scale, Equipe Romagna is a side brimming with released Serie A talent, as the match could also be seen as a scouting mission for Warnock.

Hogan Ephraim continued his fine goalscoring run in pre-season with his sixth strike coming courtesy of an excellent slide-rule pass from midfielder Shaun Derry.

Leon Clarke netted his first goal for Rangers after the break after showing great persistence to poke home following more fantastic work from emerging talent Josh Parker.

Parker himself was on the scoresheet when he pace caused all manner of problems, beating the offside flag and netting another crucial goal for his aspirations next season.

Clarke was able to display great class to cut inside down the flank and curl home a fourth, before Andrea Agostinelli netted a consolation for the hosts.

The positives keep coming for Rangers who have seen Clarke’s motivation and fitness levels soar, as well as the phenomenal scoring records of Parker and Ephraim continuing.
