Rumours are circulating that Flavio Briatore is looking to persuade co-owner of Queens Park Rangers, Lakshmi Mittal, to arrange a sponsorship deal with Renault F1.
A growing country in the sport the team Force India is backed by Kingfisher magnate and once Queens Park Rangers prospective owner Vijay Mallya. Now it is rumoured that Lakshmi Mittal may be brought into Renault following their recent sponsorship breakdown with Dutch bankers ING.
The deal is reported to be taking place in 2010 but will come as no consolation for staff at the Enstone base where 50 jobs were cut today.
