Flavio Briatore has been banned from all Formula One activities, the FIA meeting decided in Paris today.
The Queens Park Rangers co-owner was implicated in the ‘Crashgate’ scandal when Renault F1 decided not to fight the charges brought before them in Paris.
The ban includes Briatore’s involvement in driver management, including oddly enough the driver who brought the charge Nelson Piquet Jnr.
Renault themselves have been hit with a two-year suspended ban from Formula One for their involvement in the incident in Singapore, after admitting a charge of race-fixing.
