QUEENS Park Rangers forward Jay Bothroyd is excited at the prospect of the upcoming fixtures

The Rangers number ten has scored goals against both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City this season, and is looking for more in the upcoming tests.

Rangers travel to Swansea City tomorrow in what could prove to be a festive blockbuster, and despite eyeing a tough test, is looking forward to the clash.

He told QPR.co.uk: ‘Swansea is a tough place to go to, they pass the ball around really well and Brendan Rodgers has got them playing some really good football.

‘Going to Arsenal is another big test at The Emirates, but this is what the Premier League is all about.

‘I genuinely like the busy period at this time of year.

‘A lot of us are used to it coming up from the Championship, where there always seems to be two games a week.

‘The adrenaline is still pumping when you go into the next game. That’s a great feeling to have heading into the next game.’

The 29-year-old front-man has received a luke-warm reception from sections of Loftus Road in recent games, and will undoubtedly be out to impress against Swansea and latterly Norwich City and Arsenal.

The close nature of the fixtures may prove too much for Heidar Helguson, whose well-documented injury complaints may see him miss the latter test at the Emirates.
