Queens Park Rangers joint-caretaker boss Marc Bircham believes that the pressure is all on the hosts this evening.

Bircham and Steve Gallen take charge of the R’s tonight as they face second-placed West Bromwich Albion live on Sky.

Speaking to talkSPORT the former Rangers midfielder stated that his side can play without pressure this evening as the Baggies look to bounce back.

‘West Brom lost their last home game against Cardiff,’ he said.

‘The pressure is off us this evening and all of the pressure is on them.

‘I’m not a nervous person – even at the minute. I’ve been too busy to be nervous!’

The youth coach told the station that while confidence has been low it is up to him and Gallen to get them playing with confidence – believing them to be talented professionals.

‘The attitude of the lads been excellent,’ Birch revealed.

‘The last couple of days of training have been brilliant. Me and Steve (Gallen) have been well pleased with that.

‘The boys have been a little down in confidence.

‘The gaffer got them playing good football and they haven’t become bad players over-night.’

The game as mentioned is featured live on Sky with Rangers looking to dispel the previous meeting between the two sides at the Hawthorns.

The cameras were present to see Kevin Phillips tear Rangers apart and subsequently see John Gregory depart after a 5-1 drubbing.
