Former Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Jake Cole has made the switch to Barnet following his release from Loftus Road.

The stopper who came up through the youth system in W12 had a successful loan spell at Underhill earlier in the campaign and Barnet made no secret of their desire to sign him.

23-year-old Cole has also had brief spells with Hayes, AFC Wimbledon, Farnborough Town and Oxford United but was released by QPR in May 2009 following limited first team opportunity.

Cole made six appearances for the R`s, most notably in the penultimate game of the 2007-08 season against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

Manager Ian Hendon was beaming at the news of Jake`s signature: ‘I hope any future incoming transfers will be easier … I have been trying to get Jake to the club since he went back to QPR.’

Vital QPR would like to wish Jake the best of luck
