4 Shots, 1 Goal – QPR Man Takes Ipswich MotM By Tight Margin

|

Boxing Day was another enjoyable afternoon at Loftus Road for Queens Park Rangers fans as we took victory over Ipswich Town.

Although manager Steve McClaren’s side could’ve won by a greater margin given the chances we fashioned on the day, efforts from Pawel Wszolek, Joel Lynch and Nahki Wells gave us a comfortable 3-0 scoreline as we moved to within two points of the Play-Off spots and Derby County.

Wells’ overall performance saw him take statistics website Whoscored’s star man award from the game as they gave his efforts a rating of 8.14.

Darnell Furlong only narrowly missed out as he took second place with 8.10. Completing the top five best performers on the day were Lynch (7.92), Luke Freeman (7.89) and Toni Leistner (7.77).

Wszolek, Mass Luongo, Joe Lumley, Josh Scowen and Jake Bidwell also received seven-plus ratings for their performances on the day.

If we can keep this going in the second half of the season, 2018/19 could be surprisingly quite enjoyable.
