Queens Park Rangers have signed up several youngsters to professional contracts.

Danny Davenport, Josh Parker and Ed Harris are three of the players to pen professional deals at Loftus Road following the success of the second-year scholars in the Puma Youth Alliance League Cup earlier this campaign.

Two first year scholars have also made the grade to sign a professional contract with QPR as Max Ehmer and a player who has broken into the first team this season, Antonio German, both pen deals.

Two more first year professionals have signed extensions to their contracts which were due to expire as former Portsmouth youngster Joe Oastler and defender Lee Brown remain in W12.

The news is not all good however as we expect to hear news of players who have not made the grade over the next couple of weeks.

  • Great news for all – particularly excited for Antonio German, has looked exciting from the bench and is highly rated from within. We could be seeing a great deal more from him next season I think!

  • You’re right, great news. When so many clubs are getting rid of their youngsters its refreshing to see us encouraging ours. Surely a wise move in this harsh economic times.

  • We’ve had a poor youth system turn-over in recent years – but the departed Steve Brown and Steve Ryan have done a cracking job in pushing the youngsters through.
