Queens Park Rangers youngster Lee Brown was given his marching orders in the FA Cup this weekend.

It was always going to be a tough test for Salisbury City as they travelled to the unbeaten Farnborough, despite only being a Southern League Premier side.

Both Lee Brown and Joe Oastler started the game for the Whites, who made their task significantly more difficult, going down to ten men.

Brown was already on a booking when he carelessly slid in on former Ipswich Town and Gillingham striker Dean McDonald, and earned himself a first half red card.

The Whites had a long time to hang on but still managed to carve out chances with Oastler going close in the second period.

The game ended in stalemate, but Brown will face a one-match ban for his indiscretions, the first game he will have missed for Salisbury since joining on loan.

Winning the tie in a replay would hand the victors a fixture at Accrington Stanley in the First Round proper.

Meanwhile Antonio German played a cameo role as Aldershot were defeated at Shrewsbury at the weekend.
