Scott Donnelly has put pen to paper this morning to sign his first professional contract at Rangers.

‘Scotty D’ has impressed with some inspiring performances recently since breaking into the first team and sealed a two and a half year deal at Harlington on Friday morning.

Speaking to the official website, Scott said: ‘I’m very happy to sign, it is the culmination of nine years hard work and it has finally paid off.

‘I’d like to thank all the coaches, mainly Joe Gallen and Gary Waddock who gave me my scholarship and put me in the youth team at a young age. I’d also like to thank Gary for giving me my full debut.

‘It’s been hard work to get this far and it will be even harder to progress further.

‘Earlier this week I was still doing my chores, now I can get in a bit later and watch my mates cleaning the boots!’
