Two players from India have come to England to train with Queens Park Rangers – handpicked by R’s coaches.

Steve Gallen and ex-R’s full back Paul Bruce conducted a four-day training camp in Mumbai and 13-year-old students Hussain Vahanvaty and Shaun Fernandes have come out top of the class.

They will be with Rangers for six weeks after being selected from the initial 30-man squad with Gallen pleased with the outcome of the venture.

Speaking to the Times of India he said: ‘He is a good all-rounder, with good attitude and good technical ability.

‘Vahanvaty also was blessed with a athletic physique and had good discipline.’

He added: ‘The shortlisted will get an opportunity to train with their counterparts at the QPR and if good enough, they may even get an opportunity to represent the club in future.’

The presence of Amit Bhatia but more importantly Lakshmi Mittal at Queens Park Rangers will see many other opportunities for young Indian players to ply their trade at Loftus Road.
