Young Goalkeeping Talent Makes The Switch To QPR

|

At the end of last week, former Cheltenham Town youngster Tom Middlehurst secured a dream move to Championship side Queens Park Rangers.

The highly rated 16-year-old stopper left League Two side Cheltenham Town earlier this season having joined them in the summer as a first year scholar, but with our own recent youth drive at Loftus Road, he’s now joined up with us to continue his education and development.

He had been with our youth setup on an initial trial basis and having impressed across that short spell, we have handed him fresh scholarship terms.

Should be good competition at that level now and of course it gives us longer to rule our eye over him when it comes to his potential development for the future, but our under age groups have certainly been busy adding a few new faces in recent times and hopefully we’ll see some of them in the years to come bridging that gap to the senior squad.
