It’s been reported this week that former Queens Park Rangers attacker Adel Taarabt is in line for a return to England, and the Championship is the most likely destination for the now 29-year-old.
Having made the move to Loftus Road back in March 2009 initially on a loan deal, and second spell followed before we captured him on a permanent basis in August 2010. The Moroccan has well over 100 appearances to his name in our shirt and although frustrating at points, he was a fan favourite before he fell out of favour and spent time out on loan with Fulham and Milan.
Since then he’s had spells with Benfica and Genoa, but Portuguese outlet Record have now claimed he wants a return to England and reacting to the news on social media, plenty of QPR fans would love to see him return to us.
Record numbers of incoming tweets to @Amit_Bhatia99 regarding our hero ????♀️ Can Adel ever be a good boy again and get his career on track ?

Would be a massive gamble, and on an unreliable and unfit player, but my god I'd love to see him back! ????

Hang on a minute QPR fans…the Adel we know and loved was 6-7 years ago. Are we sure he’s not just trouble now? And if you think you can play him and Eze in the same side then you are crazy! #QPR

@Amit_Bhatia99 please! As it’s nearly Christmas. I won’t ask for a Birthday present!

Surprisingly, Taarabt hasn’t played a single minute for Benfica this season, and he hasn’t featured for their reserve side either, so it would be a massive gamble when you consider fitness, form and the cynical would question attitude as well.
