“Will never be prolific”, “Decent fit” – Many QPR fans respond to deal confirmed for 28-year-old

Lots of QPR fans have responded on Twitter after it was announced that Jordan Hugill has had his loan deal extended.

The Middlesbrough born forward, 28, has been on loan at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium since the beginning of the season, and with his deal set to expire from West Ham at the end of June, he now will be there until the 19/20 Championship campaign concludes.

With the striker bagging 13 times in 39 games for the club so far this season, there should be no surprise to read that fans are really happy with the transfer, with a few hoping that he can fire them into the playoff positions.

Some fans have suggested that this deal could be the one which sees them make a final push for the Premier League, with some praising the forward’s work rate.

Here are some of the replies below…

There are unlikely to be many clubs who will consider themselves lucky by the unexpected break in football due to coronavirus, but QPR will definitely think they have been hard done by, as this break coincided with some great form from Mark Warburton’s side.

In fact, they were unbeaten in six, managing to win three against Stoke, Derby and Preston, as well as drawing with Swansea, Forest and Birmingham.

Will QPR really sneak into the playoffs?

Definitely not

We've got a chance

We're going to do it

Furthermore, they have games against Barnsley and Charlton coming up, and with both of those teams stuck in the relegation zone, they will hope that they can pick up where they left off.

Despite the good form and the fans optimism, they are still 13th in the table and six points off the playoffs, so if they could reach the top six it would be a great achievement.
