Kris Boyd: A Glasgow Rangers legend, Kris Boyd is the highest scoring SPL player of all time with 164 goals. His impressive record meant he was Rangers top scorer every one of his five years at the club scoring 101 goals in 143 games – a lethal record. Previous to his time at Rangers, Boyd played for Kilmarnock scoring 63 goals in 168 appearances. Boyd joined Middlesbrough this summer on a free transfer and got off the mark for his new club in their 1-0 win against Sheffield United. He is a classic example of the goal poacher; give him one chance and more often than not he will take it – as proven in their win against Sheffield United.
David Wheater: The commanding centre back caught everyone`s attention in 2007/08 with a string of solid performances in the Premier League which earned him a call up to the England squad. Wheater is a powerful player that should be playing at a higher level but his loyalty to Middlesbrough as seen him stay. His best attribute is his aerial ability and poses a real threat from set pieces.
