Five Reasons To Focus

Fernando Torres: Coming off the back of a successful Euros and clearly rejuvinated by the departure of Didier Drogba, Fernando Torres is well on the way to hitting the form that saw him become the Premier League’s most dangerous striker when playing for Liverpool. Last season Torres scored 3 against the R’s. This season Torres has 3 goals in 4 games.

Eden Hazard: A clearly incredibly talented footballer, Eden Hazard was widely regarded by Europe’s elite as one of the best players on the continent. Aided by their Champions League success, Chelsea secured the signature for Hazard. He’s hit the ground running so far and has scored 1 goal and has an impressive 6 assists to his name.

Branislav Ivanovic: A powerful player with good technical ability. Ivanovic already has 2 goals this season and is a menace from set-pieces. Last season the Serbian international made 45 appearances scoring 5 goals.

John Terry: Chelsea favourite, QPR hate figure. John Terry is unquestionable a very good footballer and one that is rather dangerous from set-pieces (some might remember his goal against us at the Bridge). However, the focus will not be on his footballing ability more on the long-running feud with Anton Ferdinand. He is a doubt for the match having pulled up against Moldova but I wouldn’t be surprised to see the controversial figure rock up at Loftus Road on Saturday.

Juan Mata: Juan Mata is a player that will punish defences if they aren’t concentrating. His passing range is quality, especially his ability to pick the right pass in dangerous areas. Our defence need to be on their game if they are to be snuff out Mata’s threat. Last season Mata made 53 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 and making 23.
