Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock has heaped pressure on two Rangers defenders following their display against Bristol City this evening.

Rangers came from a goal behind courtesy of Alejandro Faurlín and Adel Taarabt only to see Steven Caulker net an injury time equaliser for Bristol City.

Warnock was quick to criticise his side’s defending for both the visitors’ goals which saw both Kaspars Gorkss and Clint Hill in the firing line.

He told QPR.co.uk: ‘Gorkss and Hill have made two horrendous mistakes and they’ll feel a lot worse than anyone tonight.

‘It’s life or death at the end and if you’ve got a man to mark, you’ve got to mark them – it’s as simple as that.

‘We did everything right apart from two crucial mistakes and its cost us big time.’

When asked about his potential movements in the transfer market he was keen to emphasise that the defence required bolstering.

‘There’s always room for improvement,’ he continued.

‘I’m sure we’ll bring one or two lads in – after today, they’ll probably be defenders!’

Rangers will now take a break from league action to focus on facing Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup, where he stated at the press conference that both Hill and Gorkss would play.
