Neil Warnock has received backing that he will be the man in charge of Queens Park Rangers next season.

There has been a wealth of frankly ridiculous speculation over the last few weeks that despite the R’s boss leading them to the Premier League, he would be axed in the summer.

Speaking to QPR.co.uk, Warnock has responded in order to quash the rumours once and for all, in particular to an article released recently.

He stated: ‘I want to reiterate to our supporters that, having spoken to the Board at QPR, Bernie Ecclestone, Flavio Briatore and Amit Bhatia in the last few days, they have assured me that my future is not in any doubt whatsoever and they’re looking forward to helping me acquire the players to make next season just as successful as the one we’ve just enjoyed.’

Rumours have circulated that Marcelo Lippi and Claudio Ranieri are two of the names in the frame for the post, but in truth most, if not all Queens Park Rangers fans want Neil Warnock to remain at the helm.

This will hopefully lay the speculation to rest and allow Warnock to get on with what will be an almighty challenge – keeping Rangers in the Premier League.
