Neil Warnock questioned the merit of being honest after a penalty appeal was turned down in the draw against Derby County.

With the game finely poised at one a-piece Antonio German burst into the heart of the Derby penalty area but was hauled back when attempting to get his shot away.

To his credit the young forward stayed on his feet despite being thrown off balance but Warnock was left frustrated at the lack of a decision.

He told QPR.co.uk that it questions the very integrity of the game when players should have to hit the floor when attempting to win a spot-kick.

‘Antonio’s shirt was definitely pulled, but the linesman reckons he didn’t see.

‘I don’t want to start telling players to go down, but it makes you wonder.

‘You can see the shirt get pulled and it breaks his stride so it’s a foul.’

Warnock however was happy with the R’s overall display in their second successive draw, but was disappointed that they conspired to throw two points away.

He added: ‘The conditions were difficult – especially in the driving rain

‘I thought the first 20 minutes was the best we’ve played since I’ve been here.

‘We scored at the right time, but we threw it away really.’

Rangers must now travel to Preston North End this weekend in search for their first win in five games, but the Warnock effect is still alive after another useful display against County.
