Neil Warnock has told of his disappointment following the appointment of Rob Styles to tomorrow`s London derby.
It seems it isn`t only the Rangers fans who have had a run in with the official from Waterlooville as Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock explains:
“I am disappointed that we have been given Rob Styles again simply because of the comments I made about him in my book.” The former Sheffield United boss told The Croydon Guardian
“I feel strongly about two of the decisions he made that season. I was hoping I would never get him again and I am disappointed I do.”
The long-running feud was brought to a head a couple of seasons ago when Styles gave Liverpool a controversial penalty against Warnock`s blades on the opening game of the season. Later that season Styles refuted a cast iron penalty for Sheffield United at Old Trafford, leaving Warnock understandably frustrated:
“It was the most obvious of penalties and the most obvious of red cards.
“Everybody said so but Rob Styles didn`t give it. Let`s face it he doesn`t give much against the big teams. He hasn`t quite got the courage.”
