NEIL Warnock is expecting an open affair as Aston Villa head to Loftus Road this weekend

For the first time since relegation in 1996, QPR welcome Aston Villa to W12, with the R’s riding the crest of a wave.

Undefeated Villa bring their own excellent record with the minor blemish of a midweek cup defeat against Bolton Wanderers on their record.

Warnock is expecting Villa to provide competitive opposition as the two clash live on Sky this Sunday.

‘I’m sure that it will be a very open affair with plenty of opportunities,’ Warnock told QPR.co.uk.

‘Villa have always done reasonably well. They’ve never had the money that the top teams have had, but it’s a great Club with a lovely stadium.

‘It’s a Club that you always feel could do well with the right investment. But it’s not always that simple.’

The R’s are undefeated in the last two, picking up a point against Newcastle United and all three in last weekend’s fixture at Wolves.

Their new-found attacking threat will once again be at the forefront, particularly in light of the notable absence of Darren Bent for the visitors.

Warnock concluded: ‘It promises to be a great game and I think it will be, especially given the way that we’re playing.’

Vital QPR is the place to be for all the build up to this weekend’s clash!
