Former QPR striker Stefan Moore has joined up with League One side Walsall on an initial trial period.

Rangers released the 24-year-old on 23rd January by what was described at the time as mutual consent. Stefan made just 19 appearances for the SW12 side having joined the club back in 2005 from Aston Villa.

A delighted Saddlers boss told the press…

‘He is an ex-Villa lad and a Birmingham boy and sometimes we try to get people at just the right time and maybe he wants to come back to the Midlands.’

‘It might be the right time for Stefan to give us something from now until the end of the season but let’s wait and see.’

Walsall gaffer Richard Money was impressed after Stefan’s first set of training last Thursday and Friday…

‘He’s got a good pedigree, he’s got quality and he’s trained impressively,’ added Money.

Moore is set to make his debut for the Walsall reserves tomorrow afternoon [Tuesday 26 February] against Leicester City.
