First it was John Gorman, then Iain Dowie, now it appears a third Rangers link is being tipped to take over the vacant post at Adams Park.

Gary Waddock played for QPR for eight years amassing 203 appearances and scoring eight goals, while picking up four victories in his brief spell as manager at Loftus Road.

Since then he has sparked a revival at the Recreation Ground, bringing Aldershot Town from the ashes and back into the Football League.

This has sparked the interest of managerless Wycombe Wanderers, who parted company with former boss Peter Taylor towards the end of last week.

Both Sky Sports and the BBC are tipping Waddock to take over at the struggling League One side, with the club refusing to comment on the speculation.

Wycombe were reportedly due to announce their manager yesterday but an announcement was not forthcoming.
