For months there have been people moaning about the style of play, the formation, the tactics, the selections. The team have been booed off the pitch.
When Sousa took over, we were 10th. We are still 10th.
The other side of the coin is to blame the pitch, the Board for not spending, and Flav`s meddling.
I don`t know what to think, I like the notion of stability. But it occurs to me that there are many teams with stable mangers, stable teams and stable boards. How many of their fans would welcome the chance of change if there was a possibility of bettering the stability of 10th or
thereabouts?
The fact is that we are without a manger (again). The season is coming to a close. So how will a new manger be able to assess the squad if there are no competitive games left? Friendlies will not help much. So we will be back to where we were at the beginning of this season, new manager unfamiliar with the team. A form of stability in itself I suppose.

We do have Flav, and I am sure we all agree that he wants to better the stability of 10th or thereabouts in the second tier. Yes, he is arrogant, self-opinionated and a lot more. But he wants to (must) succeed for his own vanity. We do not share that obsession as a motivation. But we do want success and to be up there in the first tier. So there is a correlation of wants, even if we do not like his methods.
I am not a great fan of Sven, but I find myself warming to the notion. I find it hard however to see why if Sven joined, the purse strings would suddenly be loosened. That is not Flav`s dream. Nor does bringing in a high profile successful mangers fit with the romance of taking a broken team, an untried manger, and melding them, with little resource into a force to be reckoned with in the top tier. And that goes, not only for Sven, but for any other established name.
Equally, we have tried the option of an unknown, inexperienced manger, and that also seems not to have fitted. Darren Furguson? It would be interesting to see how much help Dad gave him. And when Dad did retire how much he helped his son then. It`s a nice thought that once Darren had got us into the Prem and had thus established himself, Dad could give him his undistracted attention. But that`s mentoring theory again, and I can`t see it happening anyway.
Any of the other names? Ince? Wise? Well they`re somewhere in between, not mega high profile, not unknown, not mega successful, not failed.
Well I just don`t know what to think.
