Vine’s Back!

This is a personal pleasure for me to report, as you all know only too well.

Last Spring, I had the awful misfortune to be at the training ground when iconic forward, Rowan Vine, suffered that unnecessarily appalling double break thanks (not) to the efforts of that American goalie, Matt Pickens.

The noise of the break, as he slid in on poor Vine, still lives with me!

So, I am thrilled, delighted and cock-a-hoop to let you all know that, today, Rowan Vine has been given the all-clear by his Surgeon to resume full training. At last!

Announced by Head Physio, Paul Hunter, on QPR.co.uk, he went on to explain that: ‘the final x-rays showed a fully healed tibia.’

Hunter confirmed that Vine ‘will resume full training as and when we see fit over the coming weeks.

‘If Rowan shows the same effort and desire he’s shown over the last few months, I am in no doubt that he will be back and available for selection soon,’
Hunter concluded.

I would just like to add my best wishes for this final stage of Vine’s return – keep your spirits up, the light at the end of the tunnel is within touching distance now!
