Queens Park Rangers striker Rowan Vine has reportedly rejected a loan move away from Loftus Road.

The former Portsmouth front-man seemed to be on his way out of the club according to the London Informer on Tuesday, but the striker has decided to stay and fight for his place under Magilton.

Vine was one of the few players to come out of the Accrington Stanley performance with credit after a labouring display handed the R`s a slender 2-1 win. Initially starting with Patrick Agyemang he then played a lone role with support from Adel Taarabt.

Magilton didn`t close the door on Vine`s Loftus Road future: ‘Rowan hasn`t done himself any harm against Accrington. We`ve got a group of lads coming back from injury getting to grips with league football again.

‘There is an opportunity for others to get a regular place in the side – but at the moment no one`s jumping out to claim a place.

‘But I thought Viney did well against Accrington – he looked better, and I think it`s small building blocks for us all. We`re exploring the idea of getting someone new in, and if that happens, then maybe we`ll still have a bit of a surplus among the forwards.’

The striker had been linked with moved to fellow Championship clubs in a bid to get regular first team football, but with Magilton not settled on a forward line, he`s opted to stay and try his luck with Rangers.
