Rowan Vine struggles to understand why Rangers haven’t performed to their potential at home, but has called for an improvement this weekend.

The striker who has yet to net his first goal of the season despite some spirited displays was at a loss to explain why QPR’s home form hasn’t reached the required potential.

Speaking to the London Informer he explained that QPR have not been good enough at Loftus Road this season with the pressure building on the hosts to pick up a result.

‘I don’t know how to explain it. We’ve been trying to apply ourselves the same both home and away, but at home we just haven’t been good enough,’ he said.

‘There’s always a bit more pressure when we play at home in front of our fans because they expect us to win and pick up points freely.

‘Our home form is normally good, but so far we haven’t played well and haven’t deserved too many more points than what we’ve won at home.’

Speaking ahead of QPR’s clash with Barnsley at Loftus Road this weekend the striker is anticipating a tough test, but insists that will be no excuse for not picking up maximum points.

‘It’s massive. Home games are your bread and butter, and we think we should be winning every game at home.

‘We know we’re capable of doing that, but so far we just haven’t been good enough.’

Rangers indeed are still searching for their first home win of the season despite some positive displays on the road.

The R’s have drawn all three games at home so far this season by the same scoreline, 1-1 – while defeating Accrington Stanley by a slender 2-1 in the Carling Cup.
