Queens Park Rangers are reportedly looking at want-away Sheffield Wednesday defender Richard Wood.

Rumours are surfacing today that the player has turned down a move to Barnsley with QPR hot favourites to capture the versatile defender.

It was only Saturday that Wood was brought on as a substitute for Frank Simek and was jeered by the home faithful at Hillsborough.

Wood has refused to pen a new deal with the Owls and was thus treated to a barrage of boos from the supporters.

It is reported that Magilton has rated Wood one of his top transfer targets since he was manager of Ipswich, and this latest development could pave the way for Wood to move to W12.
