Two Trialists Set To Gain QPR Deals – One Is The Son Of A Former England International

|

It’s been reported that Queens Park Rangers are about to add two youngsters to their ranks in the shape of trialists Lewis Walker and Charlie Rowan.

West London Sport reported the development the other day and it seems striker Walker and centre-back Rowan have done enough to impress our management staff to earn deals until at least the end of this campaign as we continue to take a closer look at them.

19-year-old Walker is the son of former England international Des, and he had been with Derby County for the last few years having joined them from non-league side Ilkeston in January 2016, but despite his highly rated status, he didn’t manage to make his first-team breakthrough and was let go on a mutual contract termination in August.

20-year-old Rowan had been with Watford until last summer and he has spent time with Torino since. He is also yet to make his senior debut in football.

It’s expected both will sign 12-month deals and they will join up with our Under 23 setup as they settle into life at the club.

I’ve certainly heard of Walker before and I thought Derby had captured a gem based on what I’d read, so it’ll be interesting to see how he progresses with us now.
