Queens Park Rangers have been linked with the signature of two players by a national newspaper.

?And on the seventh day he rested, that expression of course does not apply to those working overtime in the rumour-mill to cook up the latest dose of transfer speculation.

The People believe that Blackburn Rovers midfielder Tugay could be set for a sensational u-turn in his career after signalling his intention to retire from professional football.

The 38-year-old Turkish international has been linked with a surprise move to QPR today (Sunday) after rethinking his decision on retirement according to the national newspaper.

Sam Allardyce announced he would bring down the curtain on Tugay`s time at Ewood Park after seven eventful years, prompting the veteran midfielder to contemplate retirement. This latest bolt out of the blue has caught everyone by surprise and it remains to be seen as to whether this deal will come to fruition.

The same newspaper has also put the name of Danny Webber forward to help to bring an end to Rangers fruitless runs in front of goal.

The former Manchester United striker is out of contract in the summer and has played a peripheral role at Bramall Lane this season.

Webber has caused Rangers untold misery in the past with Watford and the Blades but now QPR are reportedly looking to him to bolster the R`s fledgling fire-power. They face competition from Preston North End and Bristol City for his signature.
