Both Iain Dowie and Ian Holloway are in the running for the vacant post at Blackpool.

The vacant managerial job at Bloomfield Road has been in existence for a few weeks now since the acrimonious departure of Simon Grayson to Leeds United shortly before Christmas.

A well known bookmaker has made Falkirk boss John Hughes the favourite for the role, with Dowie and Holloway slightly longer odds at 16`s and 12`s respectively along with Stan Ternant and Aidy Boothroyd also in the running.

Iain Dowie has been without a job after his departure from QPR following a disappointing spell as manager culminating in a 0-0 draw away at Swansea City where the R`s failed to muster a shot on target against a makeshift custodian in Alan Tate.

Ian Holloway has been in the running for several jobs of late without any coming to fruition. His only viable opportunity was at Swindon Town but was taken by David Byrne as he strives to get back into the game.
