Three More International Calls For QPR In March

|

Following on from this weeks confirmation that on loan duo Tomer Hemed and Nahki Wells had been called up by their respective countries, Queens Park Rangers have also now confirmed that Ilias Chair and Under 23 prospect Kraig Noel-McLeod will also be off on their travels later in March. Paul Smyth also finds himself on senior duty this month.

21-year-old Chair is spending the second half of the campaign out with League Two side Stevenage, and since making the switch out to them during the January transfer window’s deadline day, he now has two goals to his name in five starts.

He’s been called into Morocco’s Under 23 squad for their African Nations Championship qualifiers against DR Congo – the tie is a doubleheader, with the first game in Kinshasa taking place on March 20, before the second tie in Rabat on March 24.

19-year-old Noel-McLeod finds himself in Grenada’s Under 20 squad for their Concacaf Nations League fixture against Puerto Rico. He’s currently out on loan himself at Basingstoke Town to build his experience and development.

Fellow youngster Paul Smyth is in line to win more caps for the Northern Ireland senior squad given the boost he’s taken from his loan spell out with Accrington Stanley.
