Lenny367 takes a look at the stats that matter as QPR host Sheffield United tomorrow afternoon.

Rangers play their second home game in a week when they welcome Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon for the 21st meeting between the sides at Loftus Road.

The first meeting between the sides was back on the 18 February 1950 in what was then the 2nd Division when Sheffield had the upper hand and recorded a 3-1 victory.

The R`s then were unbeaten in the next 13 meetings between the two teams until finally being beaten 2-1 in 1993. We have a very healthy record of winning 12, drawing 4 and only losing 4, scoring 31 goals and conceding 23 in the process.

We have only failed to score in only 2 of those 20 games, and only 1 has ended scoreless. The most occurring scoreline is a 1-0 win for the R`s which the Loftus Road faithful have seen 5 times over the years closely followed by 2-1 which has happened 4 times/

Our recent home form has dipped of late and in the last 6 games we have won 1 drawn 3 and lost our last two against the East Anglian duo of Ipswich, scoring and Norwich, scoring 5 and conceding 7.

Sheffield have been impressive on their travels in last 6 games winning 3 and drawing 3, scoring 9 and conceding 4 along the way. In fact they have gone 12 games without defeat away from home since they lost the derby game against Wednesday.

Our scoring stats show that we are most likely to score either between 15 and 30 minutes and in the last 15 minutes of the game, and we continue to be more vulnerable to conceding between the 60th and 75th minutes.

United like scoring their goals in the 15 minutes after the break but don`t appear to be vulnerable to conceding at any particular time in the game as the goals against are evenly spread..

Looking at this fixture historically, the odds point to a home win. However, looking at United`s impressive away record recently and adding to the mix our particularly bad recent home run the odds would appear to be stacked against us on Saturday.

It looks a very difficult game to call, but sadly I believe that, in view of United`s recent form they will leave us defeated for the 3rd game in a row after taking a two goal lead that is pegged back to 2-1 late in the game.

Lenny`s Prediction: 2-1 Rangers
