Lenny367 covers all the stats as the R`s host Preston North End on Saturday.

The first home encounter with Preston took place on the 7th September 1949 when the teams finished 0-0 in what was then a Second Division game.

The following season saw us hand the visitors a Christmas present when on Christmas Day 1950 we succumbed to a 4 – 1 defeat. Interestingly the return game was played the following day at Deepdale where we only lost by the 1 goal.

We have entertained Preston 13 times, winning 4 times, losing 3 times and sharing the spoils on 6 occasions, scoring 14 goals and conceding 13.

This seasons travels have seen Preston winning 2, drawing 4 and losing 5. Their most recent travels have seen them lose at Cardiff, draw at Derby and win at Blackpool.

The R`s home record, for those that need reminding is won 8, drawn 1 and lost 2. The last home games have seen a defeat to Burnley, but a run of 2 victories against Charlton and Wolves.

Our visitors are at their scoring best in the first and last 15 minutes of the second half and concede most of their goals in the first half. Rangers tend to score more between 15 and 30 minutes of the first half, and in the last 15 minutes. It`s hard to pinpoint a time for us to concede a goal as they are equally spread across the game.

The Plymouth preview stats showed that Rangers would bounce back from a first half deficit to draw 1-1. Right result , wrong way round.

This weeks forecast will be Rangers to take an early 2-0 lead but a late Preston goal will lead to a nervy last few minutes.
