Steve Martin from Staffordshire takes charge of his first QPR fixture as Rangers travel to Cardiff City

Competition: Football League Championship
Date: 16th April 2016

Assistant: Marvyn Amphlett (Worcestershire)
Assistant: Paul Hobday (West Midlands)
Fourth Official: Brett Huxtable (Devon)

The young official – son of former Premier League official Andy Martin- has been on the National List since 2012, but with Rangers dipping in and out of the top flight, this is the first time that Martin and Rangers have met.

He did however preside over a Cardiff City game last season – giving the Bluebirds two penalties in a slender victory over Blackpool, 3-2.

He will be assisted by Marvyn Amphlett (Worcestershire) and Paul Hobday (West Midlands) with Brett Huxtable (Devon) on fourth official duties.

Thus far this season Mr Martin has dished out 72 yellow cards in 32 games – giving him an average of 2.25 cards per game, issuing four reds also this campaign.
