Mark Hughes is an admired ex-pro, whose playing career spanned over 20 years with over 600 league appearances and 163 league goals to his name, turning out for some of Europe`s greatest teams including Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Chelsea. The former Welsh international moved into management following his retirement and having managed Blackburn, Manchester City and Fulham, the 48-year-old now sits at the helm of Queens Park Rangers. Vital QPR proudly has exclusive access to his weekly diary and will give you an interesting and reflective insight into the goings on at QPR.

‘SPORTS day at school was always a great occasion for me; little did I know 40 years down the line I`d still be a pro at the sack race. Tony will undoubtedly look like an absolute plum should he get rid of me following his succession of supportive cries, yet I fear a defeat to Southampton next week could see the end of my spell occupying those new comfy seats in the Loftus Road dugout. I see Baris Northern Counties East League Division One Side Selby Town are searching for a new manager – I fear their interview process may be slightly more strenuous than the one at QPR though.

Saturday`s game was again largely frustrating having been the better team for large periods of the 90 minutes. If we could just get the defence to concentrate for as long as they do during press interviews we may have a chance of winning a game. It was a delight to watch Taarabt throughout the game- he was unquestionably the man of the match. Arsenal could do a lot worse than signing Adel, although I must admit I`m not too sure about the truth in those rumours, having seen him change his name in his agent`s phonebook before proceeding to ring him and declare his interest as an Arsenal executive.

Julio Cesar also this week admitted he turned down the opportunity to sign for the Gunners, citing his desire to stay in the game as a possible director at QPR when he retires. He explained his ability to speak Portuguese, Italian and English as a possible reason for staying at Loftus Road – presumably to interact with the many managers that will succeed me if I leave.

Early start for the boys tomorrow as we have a double training session – Google hasn`t enlightened me as how to coach ‘passion` as I much as I`d have liked though. Kieron Dyer will be back with the squad having returned early from his spell in Australia auditioning for the new series of I`m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here – he unfortunately injured himself getting into the helicopter. See you next week. Hopefully.`

Vital QPR would like to notify all readers at this point, that in no way is Mark Hughes associated with this website. The opinions stated above are merely for the purposes of entertainment and have absolutely no connection to the beliefs or views of the QPR manager. We hope.
