“The Clubs Message Is All Wrong” “Sounds Like He Did At Newcastle” – Some QPR Fans Unimpressed With Loss & Manager’s Summation

|

Queens Park Rangers suffered an opening day defeat to the 2018/19 Championship campaign earlier today as Preston North End took victory.

A single goal from the hosts in the second half was enough to see the Queens Park Rangers’ side off and Steve McClaren opens his club account with defeat.

It’s fair to say the home side shaded what was a forgettable first half, but the final 45 minutes allowed fans some entertainment and McClaren will be groping for the positives. It’s fair to say he won’t be getting carried away with the defeat though as there’s plenty of football left to be played in the campaign, and he still has plenty of work to do with the group on the training field.

Fans are aware of that following pre-season results and performances so they are unlikely to be too down themselves, but they will want things to come together sooner rather than later as with a young group confidence could become an issue.
