Looking very dapper in a light-blue t-shirt, but frequently pulling first his right ear and then his left (!),Magical Mabyar Akos Buzsaky spoke to QPRPlayer after training and expressed his feelings about his performances this season, as well as his hopes for next year.

Akos is not deluded by the fact that this has been his “best” season so far in terms of goal-scoring feats. He has scored 11 goals for us, so far, of which 5 were penalties.

“I wouldn`t say that this was my best season, because I came back from a long-term injury and I didn`t expect to be on my best but I feel that I`m playing better,” he confessed.

“I`m delighted with the goals I`ve scored but I`m looking forward to next season because I want to give more because I know that I can,” he continued.

“Of course, you have to score the penalties as well,” he acknowledged. “But really, for me, from a goal-scoring point of view, it wasn`t a bad season; but if I look in the mirror, I tell myself that I can play better than this.”

Buzz is clearly relieved that the shenanigans of the earlier months of this season have disappeared with the arrival of Neil Warnock and co. He noted that there was a more relaxed atmosphere around the Club and that the players understood Warnock`s plans, as witnessed by the results in our last four matches – three of which we won keeping clean sheets in all three. Buzsaky felt that “this is very positive for next season.

Rumours have surfaced that Akos Buzsaky will be departing Loftus Road in the summer. Where these have come from is anyone`s guess but probably arose because, when Warnock first arrived, Buzsaky didn`t get straight back into the starting XI. However, his conversation on QPR Player certainly leaves no room for misinterpreting our midfielder`s thoughts on what he`ll be doing – and where he`ll be doing it – next season!

“I am sure that he is going to strengthen the squad to get promoted next year. QPR should be in the Premier League! he declared.

Regarding playing with new players next season, Buzz felt that, so long as he “gives 100% every time and then I will be in good form. That`s what I do always. Hopefully I`m not going to get injured again so I can progress from now.”

Buzsaky was very complimentary about our new defensive line-up of Cerny, Leigertwood, Gorkss, Ramage and Tosic, noting that the opposition were now getting fewer opportunities than earlier in the season to create openings against us and, as a result, we`ve conceded far fewer goals.

“That was the main problem for us – we couldn`t keep a clean sheet this season in many games. In the last four games, it`s looked like a very solid defence.”

He also feels that we must show ourselves that we can play against top opposition, so there will be no slacking in our final game this season, at home to Newcastle on Sunday.

“This is a very important game for us,” he said. “Because we need to show that we are capable of playing well and beating teams like Newcastle.”

But he is also fed up with us playing the league champions every end-of-season – and I don`t blame him!
