Tamás Priskin has revealed that he would like to extend his stay at Queens Park Rangers beyond the end of the season.

It would be fair to say that Priskin has hardly set the world alight since joining QPR, leading to supporters questioning Warnock’s selection of the Hungarian.

His effort has been called into question but when he does display his talent it appears he does have something in his locker worth persisting with.

His strike at the weekend was taken with all the composure of a seasoned pro, and while it was only his first strike for QPR he is enjoying life in W12.

The Ipswich Town loanee told the Daily Star: “I’m really enjoying my time at QPR and delighted to be here.

“I want to score more goals for the team.

“Of course it would be nice to stay and play with Taarabt at this club.”

Priskin’s lethargic style hasn’t won him too many admirers at either Portman Road or Loftus Road, but the goal he desired against another former club Preston North End could well spur him on.

The Hungarian hit fine form in his final season at Watford prompting Roy Keane to shell out a rumoured £1.75m for the 23-year-old striker.
