Steve McClaren’s Queens Park Rangers side sit in tenth place in the Championship table as we go into our first November based clash against newly promoted Blackburn Rovers this Saturday.
With an almost catastrophic start to the season with successive defeats and very little in the performances to even offer hope that better days would be around the corner, our loanees settled in quickly and the grimace on McClaren’s face slowly disappeared as we’ve now won seven from the opening 15 matches. Plenty of improvements still to be made and the loss column needs to stay where it is as we battle to more draws in games we can’t win, but it’s definitely been more enjoyable in recent times.
October saw five Championship clashes, and QPR picked up four wins and a draw to remain unbeaten. One goal was conceded whilst we scored eight.
A number of players have come in for praise on the back of that fine run, but goalkeeper Joe Lumley has seen himself credited for the clean sheets.

I voted for Luke Freeman as I thought a lot of good stuff went through him and he was more direct and incisive than maybe in the past, but can't begrudge anyone winning it from that list! Well done Joe!
