Talented QPR Keeper Takes Trial At Premier League Watford

|

It’s been reported this week that young Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper, Harvey White, is currently undertaking a trial spell at Premier League side Watford.

The 18-year-old stopper has been a regular for our Under 18 side this year, and according to a report from West London Sport suggests that the trial period will come to an end on April 19 and with claims that a number of clubs are keeping tabs on the young talent, Watford have presumably stolen a little it of a march here on other suitors.

Whether the deal comes to anything or not remains to be seen, but it’s not uncommon at youth and Academy level for trials to take place between clubs, and under the stipulations of the Elite Player Performance Plan in force for Academies now, potential transfer fees as a means of ensuring a club is rewarded and compensated for their effort in developing youngsters, are already set and understood, to my understanding.

QPR themselves have described the switch as ‘work experience’.
