Adel Taarabt has been shortlisted for the npower Championship Player of the Year Award

The Magical Moroccan has dazzled supporters this season with a string of impressive displays.

The playmaker has virtually held a one man goal of the season competition as he helped lift QPR on to their present standing at the summit.

While at times he has proven a frustration, none more so than to boss Neil Warnock, he has fully earned this nomination and goes up against Grant Holt (Norwich City) and former QPR loanee Scott Sinclair (Swansea City).

A notable mention should also be made to former QPR wide-man Gareth Ainsworth who continues to impress with his no-nonsense, all-action approach with Wycombe Wanderers.

The 37-year-old winger continues to belie his years with performances typically brimming with the enthusiasm that one would come to expect.

He sits alongside Adam Le Fondre (Rotherham United) and Ryan Lowe (Bury) as a front-runner for the League Two gong.
